Nicholas Stratigakes founded Atwater Group, a privately held National Commercial Real Estate Development and Brokerage firm, based on the principles of competency, collaboration, accountability and relationships. Nick has built a leading team of dedicated experts who thoroughly understand the retail market with expertise in land acquisitions, development, and finance on a national level. As a result of this expertise, Atwater has developed an impressive array of long-standing clients who rely on the teams insight and advice to make informed decisions. Atwater’s primary focus in the Midwest, Southwest, Mid-Atlantic, and South Florida markets, with a core competency in urban trade areas. Atwater is large enough to manage any size project, yet small enough to maintain personalized client service.
David is responsible for identifying and selecting real estate for development projects based on tenant criteria and market analysis in major urban markets. He is a dedicated and dynamic professional, possessing a proven track record of superior performance in managing complex cross- functional initiatives, seeks to utilize expertise in business development, performance improvement, and process streamlining to enhance profitability and attainment of mission-critical goals. David also collaborates and works as a liaison with municipalities to achieve and secure approvals for permitting, variances, right of way issues for development projects.
Elizabeth started her career in 2004 at a commercial retail development company, Bradford Real Estate, and joined Atwater Group in 2008. Her role as a managing broker and developer includes managing a team of brokers who work on a pipeline of up to 100 plus deals at any given time. She is the go-to point person and liaison with the clients on all projects, overseeing every aspect of the development or transaction from start to finish. Elizabeth is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and graduated with a B.A. in the History of Art and Architecture from Miami University of Ohio. Real Estate Forum magazine identified Elizabeth as one of twenty-seven retail experts described as “Tomorrow’s Retail Leaders” in the May 2014 issue.
Vice President – Development Financing
As VP of Development Financing, Amanda oversees lender selection for the financing of commercial real estate build-to-suit and turnkey development projects. She is responsible for structuring the financing for all projects and works collaboratively with title companies, lenders, general contractors, and attorneys. She also coordinates acquisitions and dispositions for the firm. Amanda has been with Atwater Group since 2008. She graduated with a B.A. from DePauw University and has a Master’s degree from Northwestern University. Amanda is a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker and member of ICSC.
Kalie was born and raised in Wheaton, IL and graduated from DePaul University with a B.A. in Real Estate and minor in Economics before starting her career at Atwater Group in 2010. Kalie collaborates with the Atwater team to source new development and leasing opportunities for national retail clients. She is experienced in negotiating on behalf of landlords, purchasers and retailers. Kalie communicates with brokers and retailers to identify prospective tenants for both proposed developments and existing space. She is a licensed Illinois Managing Broker and member of ICSC.
Kristin is a Chicagoland native who has worked in the real estate industry since 2012. Kristin has become accustomed to an environment where deadlines and adaptability are priority. Her primary focus is site research and acquiring preliminary site information for new developments. Kristin is also responsible for property management.
